Tonight is a night of firsts. I experienced my first web conference and am writing about it on my first blog. I began this evening trying to figure out how to turn on my webcam and see if this laptop had a microphone. It turns out there is a microphone, and after about an hour I got the camera on, but it did not matter. For some reason, neither worked for the web conference. Although the conference was not flawless, it was still very interesting. The slide presentation was going on while about 47 fellow classmates were able to chat on line. Unfortunately, the sound did not work well, but I did get a kick out of seeing the chat going on as everyone got to know each other a little. I think this exercise has been very beneficial. The class got to get some answers to questions that interested everyone, and I learned a little more technology.
